The festive season is here, with just a day left until Christmas we thought we’d hit our newly weds to be with some Christmas wedding inspiration!
You may already be planning your 2019 wedding or even hoping for a special proposal on Christmas morning, either way a Christmas wedding might be on the cards for you in 2019.
One of the best parts of Christmas is indulging in all of the tasty, festive meals and snacks. Rich in colour and flavour this is an exciting time to select your wedding breakfast menu. Foods and flavours such as pumpkins, nuts, cranberry and ginger are just a few of the more common additions to a perfect Christmas menu.
Booze infused fruits, clementines, cinnamon and rich chocolate are also great contributions to your winter wonderland desserts. Whether you chose to keep it traditional with dishes such as pumpkin soup, traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings and a mouth watering christmas pudding to finish, or add a daring contemporary twist to your wedding menu, the choice is yours.
But here are just a few wedding menu dish ideas you could consider: –
-Pear, walnut and ricotta bruschetta
-Spicy tomato soup with a splash of vodka
-Roasted tarragon lamb
-Apricot parfait
Now onto our second favourite part of a Christmas wedding. Room decor. When thinking of Christmas wedding themes most people will automatically in vision a winter wonderland style reception venue. Plenty of creamy whites, dazzling silver and glass centrepieces, elegantly complimented by subtle greenery and an array of beautiful white flowers.
While the winter wonderland theme is magical and makes many brides dream come true, we are here to offer some just as stunning alternatives like an understated but beautiful woodland theme, with plenty of natural Christmas elements, such as ivy, holly, mistletoe and pinecones. Tree logs are perfect for centrepieces, using them to hold cream, vanilla scented candles and white delicate flowers, for example; snowdrops in early spring will bring your woodland reception to its pinnacle.
Party favours are also something you can be completely individual and creative with. Get the love flowing by presenting everyone with there very own mini mistletoe. Or why not personalise your gifts, miniature personalised bottles of mulled wine, eggnog or a wintery liqueur are a great way to please your guests. Another creative gift is personalised Christmas tree baubles, perhaps marked with your initials and the date of your wedding. That way your guests have a beautiful keepsake from your magical day.
From the colours to the scents, foods, and frosty scenery, overall we feel that Christmas is truly one of the most magical seasons of the year to hold your special day.
