On Saturday 1st September we had the pleasure of hosting the wedding ceremony and celebration of Becki and Dave’s marriage.
Both being local to the area Abbeywood was the perfect choice for them and it allowed them the flexibility to create their wedding their way with a stunning backdrop and setting every step of the way.

As you can see from the photos and video link this wedding saw Abbeywood spaces utilised to the maximum with an outdoor Woodland Ceremony, a wedding breakfast in the Glasshouse and a Tipi evening reception on the main lawn.
The ceremony
Becki prepared in our beautifully appointed Woodside Apartment with her Bridal Party and close Family which situated in a tranquil secluded corner of Abbeywood allows thought and reflection in the build up to such a special day.
The couple decorated the ceremony space themselves and made use of our purpose built woodland weddings ceremony arch and outdoor chairs.
We also had the pleasure of providing the Couples Bouquets and Buttonholes which were crafted by hand using Dusky Pink Roses, Sunflowers and various other stunning foliage.
They then signed the registrar in the drawing room of the main house.
The reception
This featured a selection of our yummy canapés while the guests were entertained by a talented wedding singing duo:
Halloumi Chips with Sweet Chilli Dip
Lamb Koftas with Mint Yoghurt Dip
Vegetarian Samosas with Date & Tamarind Chutney
Sausages with Honey and Sesame Seeds
During this period the happy couple and the guests were able to enjoy the garden and the endless wedding photography opportunities on offer whilst enjoying a refreshing Glass of Prosecco or a Bottled Beer.
The Couple were greeted into the Glasshouse as the New Mr & Mrs Pearson to rousing applause and fanfare.
The wedding breakfast
This took place in the Glasshouse and featured: –
To start
Duo of Honeydew & Galia Melon with Feta Marinated in Mint & Olive Oil with Crisp Rocket & Basil Oil
The main course
Chargrilled Breast of Chicken with Dauphinoise Potatoes, Creamed Leeks, Mashed Caramelised Carrots & Chorizo Crisps
And a personal favourite of mine for dessert
Creme Brulee with Short Bread Biscuits.
The Speeches after the Meal from all of those who spoke were entrancing and entertaining and really gave a sense of what the joining of these two families meant to all those close to the couple.
The evening reception
The evening reception was located within a tipi on the main lawn at Abbeywood where the guests danced the night away and the evening food of choice was sausage baps with chips and salad.
Our functional Portable Bar was installed to serve Drinks to Guests throughout the Night.
It has been a pleasure reliving this unique wedding day, watching the video and exploring the photos and we wish this special couple a long and happy married life together.
